I have heard once too often that claim of being “Independent” about party affiliation. What it really means is a wolf in sheep’s clothing to pretend a divorce from the current Republican dysfunctions; birthers, Paliners and Limbaughers, to name a few “ers.”
The claim of “Independent” is merely a front. Case in point is the newly elected Massachusetts “Independent” senator whose voting record is 96% Republican. Upcoming candidates will likely put on the same costume to downplay a died-in-the-wool Republican.
